Born by the creative flair of Mendini, this corkscrew is an ironic and transformational self-portrait which embodies the playful yet sophisticated spirit of its author. Dressed in a yellow and black chequered suit, it does not go unnoticed: “the chequer pattern is a puzzling, enigmatic one, particularly when yellow and black”, Mendini observed, “it has the strength to structure any shape, harnessing it in a hypnotic mesh, also susceptible to virtual deformations.”

Jacob ★★★★★

The face design is such a conversation piece—every guest who sees it asks where I got it. It’s also surprisingly well-balanced in the hand, so opening a few bottles in a row doesn’t tire my wrist.

Sophia ★★★★★

The yellow and black face on this corkscrew is such a conversation starter, and it’s actually sturdy enough to twist through a tough cork without wobbling. It’s a fun little art piece that does its job well.

Richard G. ★★★★★

Every time I pull this out at a dinner party, someone asks where I got it—the yellow and black face design is just that striking. It works smoothly on the bottles I've opened so far, no wobble or awkward angles. A fun conversation piece that actually functions.
