The stainless steel rim is perfectly flush with my kettle's opening, no wobble at all. The hinge clicks back into place just like the original.

The lid fits perfectly on my stovetop kettle—no wobble at all, which surprised me for a spare part. The stainless steel has that same smooth, polished feel as the original piece I lost.
