Dédé

This little guy sits by my hallway door all day, and honestly his curved shape is the most cheerful thing in the room. He holds the door open firmly without sliding, which is more than I can say for the last wedge I used.

It’s not often a doorstop makes me smile, but the little face on this one is strangely endearing every time I walk by. The heavy rubber base holds my door open without slipping, even on the tile floor.

I was skeptical a doorstop could have so much personality, but this expressive little figure has become a charming fixture by my back door. The weight is just right to hold even a heavy draft door open, and its sculptural shape makes me smile every time I see it.
