The little raised edge on this saucer actually catches drips instead of letting them pool underneath, which I didn't expect to care about until I started using it daily. The shape feels slightly irregular in a good way, like it was made by hand rather than stamped out.

The subtle dip in the middle keeps my espresso cup from sliding around, which I didn't expect to appreciate so much. The board-like rim feels solid and looks cleaner on the table than my old round saucers.

The little lip on the edge makes it easy to pick up without touching the coffee, which I didn't expect to care about but now do. It's a saucer, so there isn't much to say, but the lines are clean and it stacks fine with my other cups.
