A project that in just a few strokes captures the deepest essence of the object and the gesture that accompanies it, the Farfalla (butterfly) nutcracker is an example of that process of painstaking elimination of the superfluous that has always accompanied Enzo Mari's research. Designed at the end of the 1990s and never realised, its production in 2021 pays tribute to one of the Masters of Italian design. A substantial design to rediscover a gesture as simple as it is essential, such as cracking nuts.

Benjamin ★★★★★

I was surprised by how smoothly the jaw moves compared to other nutcrackers I’ve used. The butterfly design makes cracking feel more precise, and the walnut shells don’t scatter everywhere. It’s become my go-to for evening snacks.

Thomas C. ★★★★★

It took some experimenting to get the hang of the grip, but once I did, cracking walnuts feels almost effortless. The brushed steel finish adds a nice weight and doesn’t show fingerprints easily.

Violet ★★★★★

The handle is surprisingly comfortable and gives great leverage, making it easy to crack even the toughest walnuts without slipping. I love how the simple butterfly shape actually works with the motion of your hand.
