Clivo cutlery is the result of a study of plant-fiber kitchen utensils, and particularly the traditional Japanese bamboo tools. The name (from the Latin clivus, slope) recalls the gesture of carving, progressively removing material to obtain the desired shape. The collection took shape from prototypes hand-sculpted by a model maker working with the designer, with a thorough and meticulous search for detail.

Samuel J. ★★★★★

I've been using these for a few weeks now and the plant-fiber texture feels surprisingly comfortable in my hand. The gentle slope of each piece makes scooping up food feel more natural than my old metal utensils.

Adam ★★★★★

The carving-inspired slope of the handles feels natural in my hand, almost like the bamboo tools it's modeled after. Every piece has that subtle plant-fiber texture that makes it look more artful than plain metal.

Ryan ★★★★★

You can really feel the plant-fiber texture in your hand—it’s not slippery like plastic. The slight slope on the handle makes carving feel more natural, almost like using a traditional bamboo tool. I’ve been using them daily for a week and they still look clean and well-made.
