It’s rare that a tool this functional also feels like a small sculpture, but this one sits on my counter and actually looks good. The grip is comfortable and the crown-cap leverage is perfect, so I’ve stopped hunting for my old opener entirely.

The crown-cap grip is precise enough that it pops off cleanly every time, which I appreciate after a few clumsy openers. It's also a nice piece to leave out on the counter when guests are over, since the design draws a little attention without being flashy.

It's surprisingly heavy and balanced in the hand, which makes popping off crown caps feel almost effortless. I've used it on a dozen bottles now and the grip on the metal cap is spot-on every single time.
