The clear acrylic base feels solid and weighty, and the grinding mechanism is smooth enough for daily use without any jamming. A lovely little kitchen tool that’s as much a conversation piece as it is functional.

I was struck by how the overlapping colored volumes make this grinder a real conversation piece on the table. The ceramic body feels substantial, and it grinds pepper evenly without much effort.

Grinding pepper and salt feels more like a small ceremony now because of those overlapping colored volumes Sottsass designed—it's both a tool and a little sculpture on my counter. The metal mechanism inside is smooth and sturdy, making each twist feel precise.
